In this first module, you will be introduced to the foundational concepts and practices of Somatic Psychotherapy and the neuroscience of emotions. Our focus will be on understanding how a body centered approach syncs with what we now know about the nature of thoughts and feelings or interpersonal neurobiology. We will examine how our thoughts, feelings, memory, and imagination influence our sensori-motor system and are manifested in the body through sensation, activation, movement and stillness.

This first session will invite participants to step into a Somatic Framework through focused explorations that connect insight and clinical skills with body wisdom.
